A little about me

A native of Kibbutz Re'im, in the Western Negev, I was first exposed to photography as a young boy and since then I have had a fragmented and hesitant affair with it until my fiftieth birthday when my family gave me a new camera and I have been taking pictures regularly ever since.

I shoot instinctively, I don't direct, and I never know what to expect when I raise my camera towards a composition that piques my curiosity.

Although I lived in France for many years and received and learned a lot from it, I remained, apart from a slight accent, completely Israeli. Hebrew is not only my language but also my culture, a source of inspiration and, above all, the basis of my identity, a Hebrew identity based on the language and the stories of the Bible.
